A click-switcher is very similar to a click-tracker - it counts the number of clicks you're getting on a single link. The difference is that a click-switcher uses TWO alternating destination URLs. The first click will redirect to the first URL and the second click will go to the second URL. The process then repeats itself. You can also specify local HTML filenames instead of URLs if you simply want to display a HTML page located in the same folder as the click-switcher script. A click-switcher shares clicks equally between any two URLs. One possible use would be to share clicks to an affiliate program, with half of those clicks containing your affiliate ID and the other half containing somebody else's.The click-switcher will count both raw and unique clicks. A unique is somebody who hasn't visited your destination URL in the past 24 hours. If somebody visits twice within a 24 hour period then it will count (and show up in the statistics) as one unique click and two raw clicks. This way you can tell how much of your traffic is unique, and how much represents repeat visits from the same people within a 24 hour period. Note that each of the two URLs has its own independent statistics and unique count.TWO passwords are required, one to view the stats for the first URL and another to view the stats for the second URL. You can't use the same password for both.Tag forwarding is permitted with this click-switcher. Simply place [TAG] in the destination URL and it will be replaced with the query string (i.e. anything that comes after the "?" in the URL). For example, if you create a click-switcher called "abc", then the click-switcher URL can be tagged like this: http://www.yourdomain.com/abc.php?whateverHere, "whatever" is the tag. If your destination URL contains [TAG] then it will be replaced with "whatever". For example, if you had the following destination URL: http://www.destination.com/?[TAG]Then the actual destination URL the click-switcher is forwarded to would be: http://www.destination.com/?whateverYou can choose to allow URL modification if you wish. This means the destination URL can be modified from the stats page. This is useful if you want to share clicks with somebody else and want them to have the ability to change their URL at any time.
